SHEPARD PARK

Welcome to Shepard Park in the Village of Lake George!

Located in the heart of the village, Shepard Park is a vibrant gathering place and the showcase for many beloved community events, including regular concerts, firemen’s family days, craft shows, and more. During the summer, the park’s beach is open daily, with lifeguards on duty to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Shepard Park is also home to the iconic Centennial Fountain and the Memorial of the Ethan Allen Tragedy, offering a mix of history, beauty, and recreation. For groups wishing to use the facilities, a Special Events-Facilities Permit is required. A downloadable application is linked on this page and can be returned to the Village Hall. Explore Shepard Park and discover why it’s a cherished centerpiece of Lake George!
